VMware Explore Las Vegas 2023, Here I Come!
After going to VMware Explore last year (2022), I wanted to find a way to go again this year. I asked my employer, but as my company is going through some leadership changes, there is no budget for traveling to conferences right now. So I had to get creative!
I reached out to Vembu. As they sponsor my blog, I thought I’d see if they were going to have a presence at VMware Explore this year. Unfortunately, they are not. I asked if they would sponsor my trip if I offered to wear a Vembu shirt every day. They agreed!
On top of wearing a Vembu shirt every day, they asked that I hand out Vembu t-shirts, brochures, pens, etc. So, if you see me wearing a red Vembu shirt (like the one below) feel free to come up and ask me about Vembu BDRSuite, or even just to ask for a Vembu t-shirt/pen!
Now, if you’re on the fence about attending VMware Explore, it’s a 4-day event consisting of technology/cloud transformation education, training, and access to industry experts! You’ll have opportunities to interact hands-on with the latest multi-cloud solutions, accompanied by product experts right there ready to assist, a packed agenda filled with sessions and networking opportunities that will enable you to scale cloud-native platform operations. Also, there will be professional development opportunities through both technical sessions as well as career advancement sessions to better enable your growth as an employee!
Another reason is… Las Vegas is a lot cheaper than San Francisco! In San Francisco, you’re looking at $300+ a night for a hotel. In Vegas, you can find rooms for under $100 a night! That’s a big difference and something I would make sure to point out to your company!
One of the ways to attend VMware Explore without having to pay for a conference pass is to present! I’ll be presenting, in the Code Theater, on Installing Tanzu Application Platform via PowerShell and the VMware Tanzu CLI! You can register by searching for CODE2958LV.
